Overview
The City Clerk's office is responsible for documenting and retaining the official record of all formal meetings of the City Council. The Clerk is also responsible for acting as the custodian of the city seal and official city records. The City Clerk maintains the calendars for upcoming City Council meetings.
The City Clerk responsibilities include drafting and maintaining Resolutions and Ordinances. Once ordinances are adopted by the City Council they are sent to Code Publishing for codification where they become part of the Sequim Municipal Code. Requests for public information, donations, board/commission representation, and special events are also handled through the City Clerk.
