Special Events Packet
If you are planning to sponsor an event that is either on or impacts public property or rights of way, a Special Event Permit may be required. This packet is designed to make the process easy to follow and should ensure a safe and successful event.
The City of Sequim recognizes the important role our many events play in making life in Sequim so enjoyable and unique. The City is committed to encouraging such events within an environment that allows for the excitement and fun anticipated, yet adequately provides for the protection of our citizens, visitors and all participants involved.
Your event requires a permit if you intend to use public property for all or any portion of the activities being planned. This includes, but is not limited to, City streets, sidewalks, alleys, buildings and parks (other than the normal small activities).

Some required items take time to coordinate, reserve or acquire. Typically, a large event can take up to six months to pull everything together while smaller events can be completed in 30 days or less.
